Flight Training Unit Activities

Practical Training for Pilots

Real flights are conducted in training aircraft: Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 182, Cabri G2, and Piper Seneca V. Students gain experience in both single- and multi-engine aircraft operations.

Flight Simulator Sessions

Training is carried out using an FNPT II flight simulator, which is used to develop procedural skills and simulate various scenarios under different flight conditions.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The Flight Training Unit operates at Kyviškės Aerodrome, which includes two grass runways and one asphalt runway, aircraft hangars, and technical maintenance and training facilities.

The Flight Training Unit Staff

The Flight Training Unit team includes experienced instructors and aviation specialists who provide students with practical training based on the highest safety and training standards. They guide students from their first flights in training aircraft to more advanced flight tasks, helping them build technical skills as well as responsibility and professional behaviour. The staff also maintain the aircraft, improve training quality, and work with partners to ensure the study process meets the needs of today’s aviation sector.
